Through research, publication, and temporary architectural
installationspubliccity’s goals are as follows:

Educate the public about our built environment.

Raise awareness of public space.

Empower the community.

Expand and improve public space.

Create opportunities for interaction and dialogue.

PROGRAM

Publiccity directs programs to integratedesign and
policy that utilizes:

Research: Publiccity will giveindividuals and interdisciplinary
design and research teams the opportunity to study sites and
issues in depth.

Public Forums: Workshops,panels and roundtablediscussions
designed to be acultural exchange for thedifferent
participants involved.

Website to include text andgraphics files as a research tool
and resource for students,professionals, journalists,
artists, and community groups.

Installations: Site specific,temporary public projects
integrated into the urban contextof Charleston.
